As promised, here’s an update to Nissa’s Adventures:
Hey Joe,
So, even though Hayley had to go home, I am still slightly adventurous. Geographically, not fiscally. So my roommate and I went to Dover on the weekend to see the famed White Cliffs. The cliffs are made of chalk, and are another of England famous landmarks.
Dover is also the site of one of the world’s largest natural ports. This makes it a popular shipping destination and there are a ton of ferries that run out of Dover to France, Germany and other several other countries.

Since it is such a desirable and strategic location, it is also home to one of the oldest castles in England, Dover Castle. I didn’t actually visit this castle because I was on a budget and it was expensive, but the guy my roommate and I met on the bus told us that during World War II, Winston Churchill used to come to Dover Castle and stand looking over the English Channel with a pair of massive binoculars and watch the Germans looking back at him with a similar pair.
That was all we did in Dover – we were only there for the day. Next stop: Leeds. I mean, I hope. I have a friend living in Bradford right now, so I am going to try and make her take me to Leeds. Slightly alarmed that she will be my native guide, as she has been known to get lost on the Lakehead Campus. I will let you know how it goes.

I’ve always liked the White Cliffs of Dover. They’ve always struck me as being rather pretty. As soon as we hear back from Nissa, we’ll let everyone know!
PS: Good luck with Leeds Nissa. As a graduate of Lakehead University (the best university in all of Thunder Bay) I know just how difficult it is to navigate the LU campus.
