Three Brother’s Falls, 1971

Last week we got an email from a former camper.  She’s looking for information about a trip she did a number of years ago.  After checking our records I wasn’t able to find much of anything so, after checking with Kathy, I decided to post her question to the website and facebook page.  Hopefully she’ll find her answers.

Hello,

This is not a sales question, but at this time of the morning your e-mail site was the closest contact with Bark Lake. Plus this may be a wild goose chase.

I had the opportunity to go to Bark Lake in July of 1971 and I think that I was in Tamarack. My question is regarding a canoe trip that we took and I believe we went in near Gelert and ended up in Kinmount. The overnight was near Three Brother’s Falls. I wonder if there was ever any information on the route used and is there anyone there at the camp who knows if there was or still is a big railway bridge that would be south of the falls.

I now live in [in the area] and still remember that great trip and there is that pull to go on another trip.

Thanks very much.

Kathy L.

If you have any information you think might be able to help Kathy out, please drop me an email (Joe@barklake.com) and I’ll be sure the forward it along.
